👥 How to Invite Your Team and Assign Roles
Complete your organization setup on the platform.

Once you have created your account and organization in Code Contract, the next natural step is to invite your team members and assign them the appropriate roles.

This process is quick and has no additional cost per user.

Who can invite users?
Only Owner and Administrator roles have permission to invite new users or modify existing ones.

👣 Step by step to invite a user

  • Go to Settings → Account → Users
  • Click the Invite button
  • Enter the following details:
    • Full name
    • Corporate email address
    • User role
    • (Optional) Assign to a work group if you already have teams created
  • Click Send invitation

📩 The user will receive an email with a link to register and directly join your organization.

🧩 Available roles

  • Owner: Full control. Only one per organization.
  • Administrator: Manages account, users, subscription, and settings.
  • Editor: Can create and modify documents, workflows, contacts, etc.
  • Reader: View-only access. Cannot edit or sign.

You can change any user’s role at any time from the Users panel.

👥 Work groups (optional)
You can create work groups to organize teams by department or project.

  • Each group can have access or visibility limits.
  • Each user can belong to one or multiple groups.
  • Useful for departments such as Legal, HR, Suppliers, etc.

🔄 Can I invite external users?
Yes. You can invite external collaborators if they need platform access, but if they only need to sign or provide data, you can use the participants without account system (simpler and faster).
