🛡️ Types of Roles and Permissions
Assign roles and configure user permissions.
In Code Contract, each user has a role that determines what actions they can perform and what information they can access within the platform.
Understanding these roles will help you manage your team securely and efficiently.
👥 Available Roles
- Owner
Ultimate account holder — there can only be one.
Full control: user management, billing, advanced settings. - Administrator
Organization manager with broad permissions.
Manages users, settings, content creation and editing. - Editor
User who can create and modify content.
Can build workflows, upload documents, edit data, but has no access to critical settings. - Reader
User with view-only permissions.
Can see documents, workflows, and evidence, but cannot edit or create.
🧠 Tips for assigning roles
- Assign the Owner role only to the person responsible for the organization.
- Use the Administrator role for those who manage the day-to-day operations.
- Give Editor roles to collaborators who need to create and modify documents or workflows.
- Assign Reader to users who should only consult information without modifying anything.
