How to Generate a Digital Evidence Step by Step

With SmartCheck, you can generate legally valid digital evidence in less than a minute. Here's a step-by-step guide to doing it from the Code Contract platform.
✅ Step 1: Access the SmartCheck module
Log in to Code Contract.
Click “SmartCheck” in the left-hand menu.
You’ll see the main dashboard to create and manage your evidence.
📝 Step 2: Select the type of evidence
Click “Create new project” and name it as you wish for easy identification.
📂 Step 3: Upload the content
Depending on the type of evidence:
- Upload a file or paste the text.
- For emails: paste the content and recipients.
- For a URL: make sure the link is active.
You can add comments or tags to help identify the proof later.
🕒 Step 4: Generate the evidence
Click “Register proof.” In seconds, the system:
- Calculates a digital fingerprint (hash).
- Captures date, time, and technical metadata.
- Electronically signs the proof file.
📥 Step 5: Download or consult the proof report
Once generated, you’ll have access to:
- A digitally signed PDF report
- Metadata and technical details
- Options to download, share, or save
You can access the report anytime from the evidence history.
