🧠 8 Tips Before Getting Started in Code Contract

🧠 8 Tips Before Getting Started in Code Contract
Learn our recommendations to optimize onboarding on the platform.
These quick tricks will help you use Code Contract smoothly from day one.

By following them, you’ll avoid most of the common support issues and save time.

  1. Verify your email first
Confirm your registration as soon as you receive the welcome email.
Add [email protected] to your safe senders list so you don’t miss signature requests or Trackline notifications if your corporate email isn’t yet configured.
  2. Always use PDF for signing
Consigne accepts various formats, but PDF ensures signatures are placed correctly and avoids display issues.
If your document is in Word or Excel, save it as PDF first.
  3. Check document permissions
Uploading password-protected or restricted files may block signing.
Remove passwords or editing restrictions before uploading.
  4. Invite signers with the correct email
One wrong character = lost request.
Copy and paste the address or use your contacts list to avoid typos.
  5. Run a short test with Trackline
Before creating a large template, send it to yourself and check:
  • Steps appear in the correct order.
  • Required fields are filled in properly.
  • Notifications arrive as expected.
  1. Keep your API Keys separated by environment
If integrating Code Contract with your ERP or external software, generate one key for production and another for testing.
Revoke unused keys for better security.
  2. Review your storage and credits
In Settings → Profile (Owner/Administrator) you can see blockchain records usage and cloud space.
If near the limit, archive or download old documents or upgrade your plan.
  3. Activate the right notifications
Have at least one channel (email or app) active so you don’t miss signature or task alerts.
Adjust frequency if you get too many emails: Settings → Notifications.
